VISIBILITY - This is the first swim buoy in the World that has dual colors (top is orange, bottom is yellow) to provide additional contrast in the water for higher visibility. The bright colors will make you more noticeable to boaters, paddleboarders, jet skiers and other swimmers.
LIGHT WEIGHT - If you've ever traveled to a foreign place, decided to take a swim off shore, and then been buzzed by a boater who simply wasn't on the look-out for swimmers? Well, you definitely need an XTERRA swim buoy. Your buoy is so light that you can keep it stashed in the bottom of your swim kit. When traveling to foreign places, if you need to go for a quick swim in foreign waters you'll be more visible.
MONITOR FROM ASHORE - Your friends and family can track you out in the water by sight, or even add a GPS device for tracking as well.
Not a PFD - It's not a personal floatation device (PFD). Please be smart when swimming, especially if you may be swimming outside your ability or comfort-zone.
Take it with you on all your open water adventures to alert boats and other watercraft of your location. Stuff any items you want to take with you inside the swim buoy and they will stay dry. Just strap the safety product around your waist and set off on your ocean excursion with peace of mind.
Package Dimensions (24" x 10")

Capacity: 15L
Color: Orange / Yellow
Your swim buoy comes with a dry pocket for storing your wallet or keys (but not pointy keys), or maybe a few gels. Please don't put electronic devices in it because we can't guarantee they won't get wet! We suggest that you use a waterproof case. Again, the extra pocket for storage is not intended for storing electronics like your phone or car keys that have a battery. Instead, double-bag or use a waterproof case.
The inside of your swim buoy can hold at least 3 liters, though you're really only going to put items inside that take up less volume. Don't yet inflate. Once you put the items inside (but not your phone), roll the top four times (with the buckle undone), then attach the buckle. Afterwards, inflate.
This is not a floatation device. Always swim with a buddy. Know your surroundings. Don't swim outside your ability.
Your swim buoy should have two sides – one side orange, the other side yellow. The orange side has an inflatable bladder which can be inflated by opening the airway valve (open counter-clockwise), blow in to inflate, then close the valve by turning it clockwise. Between the yellow and the orange sides is a pocket. In here you can place some items that should stay relatively dry. Place the items inside before you inflate your buoy. Here are some simple steps:
Step 1: Put the belt around your waist and adjust so that it fits tightly.
Step 2: Open the main dry compartment to store any personal items. Pack your items as far as possible, and make sure not to put any sharp objects in the main compartment.
Step 3: Unscrew the mouthpiece cap (counter-clockwise) and inflate the air compartment. Tighten the cap clockwise to prevent air escaping. Before swimming, ensure there is no leakage by submerging your buoy.
Step 4: Fold over the top strip four (4) to five (5) times and attach the buckle. Do NOT place your cell phone or electronics into the dry bag compartment.
