  • LAVA Booties

    Size

“Cold feet” is nothing more than a figure of speech when you own a pair of LAVA Booties. Made of 2mm 4-way stretch neoprene, these booties are form fitting and insulating for cold water swimming.

Flex panels on the top of the foot and above the heel allow for comfortable movement while durable stitching holds the bootie in place. The ergonomic textured outsole provides stability and traction aboard wet surfaces and helps to protect your feet in rocky waters.

    SIZING:

We suggest you wear your Lava Booties as tight as possible to prevent water pooling at the toes. They will be quite snug when putting them on, but will expand in the water.

LAVA Booties sizes are based on Men’s Sizes, though the booties are unisex. There is an approximate 1.5 size difference between Men's and Women's sizing (e.g., a men's size 7 is roughly equivalent to a women's size 8.5).

To put on a pair of Lava booties (neoprene socks), follow these steps:

    1. Start by standing on the socks and stepping into them one foot at a time.
    2. Once both feet are inside the socks, pull the socks up over your ankles and lower calves.
    3. Adjust the socks as needed to ensure they fit snugly but not too tightly on your feet and lower legs.
    4. If the socks have a seam at the toes, make sure it is aligned with the toes of your foot.
    5. Once the socks are on, adjust the fit as needed to ensure they are comfortable and do not restrict your movement.

It's important to make sure that your neoprene socks fit properly and are not too tight. If the socks are too tight, they can restrict your movement and cause discomfort. If the socks are too loose, they can bunch up or fall down, which can be frustrating and hinder your performance. Adjust the socks as needed to find the right fit for your feet and lower legs.  Given the choice between tight and loose, remember that your lava booties will expand about a half-size in the water so they should be snug when you first put them on.
