United StatesOnly buy Xterra products when on sale. Follow the size chart and read the reviews written by folks who own and use the product you want to buy and you probably won't ever have to deal with Xterra's sluggish return system. (write all your sale prices, correct sizes and product names down for future reference) The wetsuits are designed for swimming. The lime-based neoprene is delicate. Watch lots of YouTube videos showing how to get into and out of your Xterra wetsuit. Do what they tell you to do and you'll probably never damage your wetsuit. Plus, you won't drive yourself mad trying to get suited up. Xterra products I purchased ON SALE ($15 each) neoprene socks, skull cap, orange and yellow swim buoy/dry bag and gloves with long sleeves. All fit well and are of good quality. At the sale price you definitely get what you've paid for. (although the neoprene socks with textured soles don't last long if you walk or run on cement, pavement or rocks. (Stick to the sand or wear sandals when out of the water) My Xterra Vortex is between five and seven years old. The material failed in the crotch area. I was able to repair the tears and holes with the provided adhesive. Watch more YouTube 'how to' videos. Read and follow the instructions on the adhesive tube. (Different brand adhesives have different instructions concerning set-times and application thicknesses) *The Volt, I just purchased, is my second Xterra wetsuit. At $119 (the sale price) I feel I paid a fair price for the quality of wetsuit I received. A friend bought the same suit at the same time. The Volt is a little baggy under the arms. I'm a bit worried the tape used to tape the inside of the seams will eventually become loose and uncomfortable. *Overall, the fit is snug even with me being exactly in the middle of the height and weight range for the MLO - medium long size. (Keep this size info in mind) As with the Vortex; I do have trouble zipping up the Volt by myself. I'll be sixty-six in January. I use all my Xterra products for salt water open water swimming here in Southeastern CT. My gear is exposed to sun, sand, rocks and chilly salt water. It keeps me warm well into November. Hope this helps.
I want to know what the inner arm material is by your hands? The grip is amazing when wet. Need to buy gloves made out of it for Spartan Races
Customer service is poor. The lavasocks were too small and I returned them the day after receiving the shipment. I return shipped on 3/22 @ 0808 and they were received by you on 3/24 @ 01:58 PM. I waited over three weeks from your receipt and finally called. The rep was most helpful and checked with your receiving department and finally determined they had been received. I just checked and the shipment is on its way. Should have tomorrow. I get the impression that you are using and outdated system to check that returns have been received and when the replacement will be shipped. Recommend you use a computerized system for this process, vice the non-computerized system that appears to be currently used.
